枯葉と訳された曲名で有名ですが、Autumn Leavesは直訳すると紅葉で真っ赤な葉です。枯葉はＤead Leavesといいます。歌詞では、夏に熱い口づけを交わした別れた彼女の唇の様な落ち葉がひらひらと窓の外を待ってくる景色に目を凝らして思い描く心の内を現しています。
そういった意味で、枯れ落ちて茶色に染まった死人の唇の様な枯葉Ｄead Leavesではなく、赤い輝きを残したままの落ち葉と訳した方が私は適切と思い、「落ち葉　Autumn Leaves」として、レコーディングしました。

It is famous for the song name translated as "dead leaves", but Autumn Leaves literally translates to autumn leaves and bright red leaves.
The lyrics reveal the inner workings of her mind as she gazes at the scenery of fallen leaves fluttering like her lips waiting outside the window after a passionate kiss in the summer.
In that sense, I thought it would be more appropriate to translate it as fallen leaves that still retain their red glow, rather than dead leaves like dead man's lips that have withered and turned brown, so I recorded them as "Autumn Leaves".
