アフリカ学校支援活動報告Report of the Support

I want to make as many people as possible happy by my singing a song. I have been singing jazz and my original songs of black music, and I wanted to use the proceeds to contribute something to the future of african children in Africa as the land of human birth.Since my second year of live of JAZZ debut in 2017, I have been working for the School Support Fund in the Republic of Benin, Africa.This time, the fund has taken a big step. I would like to introduce you to Mr. Narita, president of the Ibaraki Education Network, an NPO that is sponsored by the fund and is also a senior at my alma mater Takushoku University.
私が歌う事で一人でも多くの人を幸せにしたいと願っています。
黒人音楽のJAZZやオリジナル曲を歌い、その収益で、人類誕生の地アフリカの子供達の未来に何か役立てたいと願ってきました。
ライブデビューして2年目から、アフリカのベナン共和国の学校支援基金への活動をしています。
この度、その基金が大きな一歩を踏み出しました。
基金の主催で私の母校拓殖大学の先輩でもあります、NPO法人茨城教育ネットワーク成田理事長から御連絡を頂きましたので、紹介致します。

The Ibaraki Education Network, a non-profit organization, established the School Support Fund for the Republic of Benin in Africa in 2017 to raise funds.The Republic of Benin in Africa is a country located on the slave coast, the destination of slave ships that sent slaves to the United States.This Republic of Benin has no underground resources like other African countries, and the cotton and shipping industry remains a major industry in the country as it was during the slave ship era. The proportion of elementary schools is less than 30% of the population, and people who grow up and can't read can't work properly. Therefore, the Ibaraki Education Network, a non-profit organization, has established a fund with the goal of building schools and has been supporting activities. The funds have funded by jazz singer and school friend Ryusei Fukagawa who supported this activity, and the sales of downloads such as the CD album and Apple MUSIC of the album were directly funded to the Benin Republic School Support Fund. We also raise funds at Mr. Fukagawa's LIVE venue and transfer the proceeds of the live performances to the fund. And it's been four years. At an integrated elementary, junior high and high school in the Republic of Benin, donation activities based on the fund have been fruited.
They have been eating school lunch on the ground this evening, but we added a dining room. In the classroom, there was no wall, and the place where the rain and wind were blown was converted into a splendid building.In addition, a desk was added for 60 people. I purchased a personal computer and installed a solar panel so that I can use electricity. The fact that 60 new people can learn is still a small figure from the population of 11.5 million people in the Republic of Benin. But for us, it was a big step.Having a past of sending slaves to the United States in the birthplace of mankind, we believe that enriching the Republic of Benin, which is the same as Japan and resource-poor, with education, will realize the philosophy of "the color of race and the boundary of the earth, no discrimination before I stand" in the school song of our alma mater Takushoku University, and we will continue steady activities in the future.

『NPO法人茨城教育ネットワークは、2017年にアフリカの「ベナン共和国学校支援基金」を設立して資金を集めて来ました。

アフリカのベナン共和国は奴隷海岸という、アメリカに奴隷を送った奴隷船の発着地に位置する国です。

このベナン共和国は他のアフリカ諸国の様に地下資源が無く、未だに奴隷船時代と変わらず綿花と海運業が国の大きな産業のままです。小学校の割合が人口対比3割に満たず、大人になって字の読めない人はまともに働けません。

そこで、NPO法人茨城教育ネットワークは、学校建設を目標にして基金を設立して支援活動をして参りました。資金はこの活動に賛同したJAZZ歌手で私の大学の後輩の深川隆成氏のCDアルバム及び同アルバムのApple MUSICなどのダウンロードの売上をベナン共和国学校支援基金にそのまま振り込まれる仕組みを作って行ってきました。また、深川氏のLIVE会場でも募金を行い、ライブの収益自体からも基金に振り込んで頂いています。

そして、足掛け4年。この程、ベナン共和国の小中高一貫校に於いて、基金を基にした寄付活動が実を結びました。

今迄、給食をグランドで食べていましたが、食堂を増設。教室も、壁が無く雨風が吹き曝しのところを立派な建物に改築。

また、机を60人分追加。パソコンを購入し、電気を使える様にソーラーパネルを設置しました。60人が新たに学べるという事は、ベナン共和国の人口1150万人からすれば、まだまだ小さな数字です。しかし、我々にとっては、大きな一歩となりました。

人類発祥の地でアメリカに奴隷を送った過去を持ち、日本と同じで資源の乏しいベナン共和国を教育で豊かにする事こそ、我々の母校拓殖大学の校歌にある、『人種の色と地の境、我が立つ前に差別無し』の理念を実現する事と信じ、これからも地道な活動を続けて参ります。
