TAKE FIVE
Take Fiveは、ピアニストDave Brubeckがリーダーのバンドでサックス奏者Paul Desmondが1959年に作曲した演奏曲でした。そしてDave Brubeck夫人のLola Desmondが歌詞をつけてCarmen McRaeが歌ったのが、1961年頃で、歌詞入りのTake Fiveの始まりと言われています。
4分の5拍子の難曲に、Take Fiveを5分欲しいと、男女の出会いの機微に置き換えた歌詞となっています。
